Will it be Friday on August 7th?
This market will resolve to "Yes" if August 7th falls on a Friday in the Gregorian calendar. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". Resolution will be based on the official Gregorian calendar as defined by international standards (ISO 8601). In the event of a calendar reform or time zone dispute, the resolution will be based on the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) date. Resolution Criteria: The market will resolve to "Yes" if August 7th is officially recognized as a Friday. The market will resolve to "No" if August 7th falls on any other day of the week. Resolution Source: Official Gregorian calendar as published by timeanddate.com or equivalent authoritative source. Special Conditions: If a leap second or calendar adjustment is introduced before August 7th, the resolution will follow the official international standard in effect at that time. In the event of a catastrophic event that disrupts the global calendar system, the market will resolve based on the last officially recognized calendar before the disruption. Note on Resolution: Given the deterministic nature of the Gregorian calendar, the outcome of this market is mathematically certain. August 7th falls on a Friday in years where the cumulative day count from the start of the year modulo 7 aligns with Friday. The calendar cycle is fixed and predictable. Specifically, for the year 2026, August 1st is a Saturday, which places August 7th squarely on a Friday. As such, while the market formally allows for a "No" outcome, the established calendar logic ensures that the resolution will logically be "Yes". The market is structured to reward participants who recognize the fixed and unchangeable nature of the weekly cycle.
